Two size families
The standard DHMetalluxePrint download includes three 300 DPI JPG files: one 2:3 ratio file, one A3 file and one A4 file. A ratio describes the shape of the artwork. Choosing a frame with the same ratio prevents unwanted cropping.
2:3 ratio sizes
The same 2:3 file can be printed at several proportional sizes:
- 8 × 12 in — 20.3 × 30.5 cm
- 10 × 15 in — 25.4 × 38.1 cm
- 12 × 18 in — 30.5 × 45.7 cm
- 16 × 24 in — 40.6 × 61.0 cm
- 20 × 30 in — 50.8 × 76.2 cm
- 24 × 36 in — 61.0 × 91.4 cm
ISO A-series sizes
- A4 — 21.0 × 29.7 cm
- A3 — 29.7 × 42.0 cm
Because ISO A proportions differ from 2:3, use the supplied A3 or A4 file rather than forcing the 2:3 artwork into an A-series frame. The standard pack does not include A2 or A1 files. Check the individual Etsy listing for any design-specific details.
Choose scale by location
Desk, shelf or narrow wall
A4 or 8 × 12 inches works well where the viewer is close to the artwork.
Office, gaming room or small garage wall
A3 or 12 × 18 inches provides enough presence without dominating the room.
Feature wall
20 × 30 or 24 × 36 inches creates a strong focal point with the 2:3 file. For larger ISO A prints, ask a professional printer about upscaling before ordering. Confirm that the chosen print service supports the file dimensions and inspect the upload preview before purchase.
Sizing a poster set
For a set of four, measure the complete composition—not only one frame. Include frame width and spacing. A consistent gap of approximately 5–8 cm often works for medium frames; larger formats may need 8–12 cm. Mark the frame corners with removable tape before drilling.
